He was predeceased by: his parents, José Arruda and Cristina Arruda (Miguel); and his brother José Arruda. He is survived by: his wife Grace Arruda (Silva); his daughters, Christine E. Schultz (Edward) of Burlington, MA and Melissa S. Arruda of East Providence; his granddaughter Amélia Reynolds; and his siblings, John Arruda of Fall River, MA, Goreti Pavao of Westport, MA, Maria Balboni of Carlisle, MA and Ann Pacheco of Somerset, MA. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
