He was predeceased by: his parents, João Antonio Santos and Maria Santos (Lomba); and his sister Carlota Santos. He is survived by: his wife Adelina Santos (Baptista); his children, Catarina Santos, Amarilia Santos, Tony DaLomba, Elizabeth Vicente, John Santos, Isabel Santos, Claudette Santos-Pires, Graciette Santos, Evette Huff, José Santos, Tito Santos, Justin Santos and Jasmine Santos; his stepson Bruno Goncalves; and his siblings, Manuel Santos, Pedro Santos, Henry Santos, Julia Santos, Adelaide Santos, João Santos and John DeOliveira. He is also survived by 36 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
