Adelina F. Almeida Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Adelina F. Almeida of East Providence, Rhode Island, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 31, 2024. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Jose B. Almeida; her parents, Joao DeSousa and Eugenia DeSousa; her grandson Joao Andre Delgado; her brother Joao Antonio Sousa; and her stepchild Carmen DeRocha.
She is survived by: her children, Eugenia Santos (Pedro) of East Providence, Candida Delgado (Joao) of New Bedford, Maria Sequeira (Daniel) of East Providence, Joao Almeida (Dulcineia) of Pawtucket, Adelino Almeida (Eva) of New Bedford and Alfredo Almeida (Adelaida) of East Providence; and her grandchildren, Pedro Santos, Joao Antonio Santos, Anselmo Santos, Dianela Lopes, Melissa DeJesus, Sandra Delgado, Paulo Delgado, Monica Encarnacion, John Almeida, Veronica Almeida, Melissa Sequeira, Monica Sequeira, Tiago Almeida, Djony Almeida, Daniel Sequeira, Jr., Jessica Britto, Jennifer Velasquez, Jalisa Sequeira, Paul John Silva and Jason Silva. She is also survived by thirty-three great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Perry-McStay Funeral Home (2555 Pawtucket Ave, East Providence, RI 02914). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 8:45 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Francis Xavier Church (81 N Carpenter St, East Providence, RI 02914).
