He was predeceased by: his parents, Clinton G. Nelson and Doris Nelson (Farnsworth); and his son Richard Nelson. He is survived by: his wife Emilie Peckham Nelson (Sayles); his children, Debra Rivers (Mangiafico), Donald Nelson, Donna Cartwright, Dorene Nelson and Dean Nelson; his stepsons, Thomas Peckham, Randy Peckham and Shawn Peckham; and his children, Dale Nelson, Darlene Googe and Diane Nelson. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren.
