We bid farewell to Janice Battey of East Greenwich, Rhode Island, born in Acushnet, Massachusetts, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on September 18, 2024 at the age of 83. Janice touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Elsie E. Washburn (Dexter) and George R. Washburn; her husband Joseph Robert Battey; and her siblings, Elsie Bauer and Joseph Washburn.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Jessica Beattie (David), Michelle Barron, Taylor Barron, Nicole Bass, Dylan Barron, Madelyn Barron, Jake Barron and Cole Barron; her siblings, Jeanette Hubbard and George (Mary); and her friend Jean "Jeannie" Almonte. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital fundraising.
