He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Coleman and Dorothy Coleman (Collins); and his siblings, Jane (Dorothy) and Edward Coleman (Neil). He is survived by: his wife Joyce Coleman (Tibbitts); his daughters, Joyce C. Zambarano (late Jeffrey Hendrick), Deborah J. Riendeau (Mark) and Betsy M. Lonergan (Keith); his grandchildren, Paul Hendrick (Leslie), Andrew Hendrick, Melanie Troxler (Grant), Ryan Lonergan (Dakota) and Brett Lonergan; and his great grandchildren, James, Caroline, Marin Hendrick, Blair, Beau Troxler and Daisy Lonergan.
