He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Bannister and Alice Bannister (Demers); his spouse Lella M. Bannister; his son David Bannister; and his siblings, Lucille Barrett (Bannister) and Richard Bannister.
He is survived by: his children, Michael Bannister and Susan King RN; his stepchildren, Elliott, Stephen Mitchell, Cindy Hammond, Joseph and Daniel Mitchell; his nephews, Barry Barrett, George Barrett and Mark Barrett; his niece Alice Kibbey (Barrett); his brother-in-law William Clark RN; and his nephews-in-law, Joseph and William Clark. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren 15 great-grandchildren.
