She was predeceased by: her parent Ulysses A.. She is survived by: her spouse Henry J. Poitras, Jr.; her parent Geraldine Lanciaux (Mercier); her daughters, Carol A. Mowatt and Suzanne M. Poitras; her siblings, Anita Collins, Madeleine Stepanian and Paul Lanciaux; and her grandsons, Christopher J. and Daniel R. Mowatt. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
