He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Ives (Jack) and Alice Joyce Kineke (Duitz); his wife Genevieve; his children, Anne (Timothy), Gus (Laetitia), Mary (Francesco), Theresa and John; his grandchildren, Rosa, Margaret, Theodore, Louis and Ana; his sisters, Theresa Brooks (Paul) and Elizabeth Kineke; and his daughter Margaret Rose. He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
