She was predeceased by: her parents, Hubert Skidmore and Evelyn Skidmore (Tyrell); and her siblings, Ivan, Austin, Vincent and Evelyn.

She is survived by: her daughters, Marie Rousseau (Mary Garren) of Stoughton, MA and Stacey Grant; her granddaughter Maegan Grant of Smithfield, RI.; her son Steven Rousseau; and her grandson Joseph Grant Jr..

In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Vera's name to Operation Smile, her favorite medical non-profit charity.
