It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Robert E. Maroney of Cumberland, Rhode Island, born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, who passed away on October 22, 2024, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Dorothy Maroney (Hayden); and his parents, Edward Maroney and Doris Maroney (Lebeuf). He is survived by: his sons, Robert E. Maroney Jr. of Charlestown, RI. and Michael B. Maroney of Westerly, RI.; his grandchildren, Michael, Richard, Kayla, Jared and Corey; his brothers, Frederick Maroney of Florida and James Maroney of Colorado; and also Beatrice Maroney of California.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 3rd 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home (757 Mendon Rd, Cumberland, RI 02864). A celebration of life was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A prayer was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 at the Ri Veteran Cemetery (301 S County Trail, Exeter, RI 02822).
