He was predeceased by: his wife Linda (Dorian); and his parents, Robert Hamann and Genevieve Hamann Sr. (Hawkins). He is survived by: his sons, Jeffrey Dupre of Woonsocket and Brian Hamann (Amanda) of Cumberland; his sister Kathryn Cleary of Dundee, MI; and his nieces, Jennifer and Christine.
