He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy DeCosta and Mary DeCosta (Pacheco). He is survived by: his wife Jill Dolyak DeCosta; his stepchildren, Allison Balsley (Nathaniel) and Monica Bradley; his brothers, Roy, Joseph, James, John and Daniel; and his pet Zena. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in his honor to Deaflympics, supporting Deaf sports and athletes.
