He was predeceased by: his parents, Alice and Edward; and his brother Ted. He is survived by: his children, Richard (Margaret) of Newport, RI, Robert of Cumberland, Thomas (Kim) of Carlisle, MA, Susan Millar (Scott) of Exeter, RI, Maryann Crews (Christopher) of Andover, MA, Christopher (Melinda) of Cumberland, Caroline (Charles) of Bethesda, MD and Elizabeth Whitney (Grant) of Southborough, MA.; his wife Edith; and his brother John (Joyce) of Rhode Island. He is also survived by his 8 children, 17 grandchildren and a great granddaughter.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the O'Neill Funeral Home (3102 Mendon Rd, Cumberland, RI 02864). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Historic Saint Joseph Church (1303 Mendon Rd, Cumberland, RI 02864). The military honors was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 from 11:15 AM to 11:45 AM at the Saint Joseph Cemetery (900 Mendon Rd, Cumberland, RI 02864).
