With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Richard J. Grimes of Cumberland, Rhode Island, born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 3, 2024 at the age of 74. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Grimes and Florence Grimes (Hayden); and his siblings, Patricia Theroux, Jackie Martin, Trudy Harris, Buddy Grimes, Donny Grimes, Eddie Grimes, Alan Grimes and Bobby Grimes.
He is survived by: his wife Suzanne R. Grimes (Toner); his sons, Dennis S. Grimes (Suzanne Bouffard) of Pawtucket and Daniel P. Grimes of Cumberland; his sisters, Emily Berndt of South Carolina, Ann Kay of South Carolina and Kathy Sawka of Cumberland; his grandchildren, Brianna, Jordyn, Alexandria, Jarrod, Madison and Brooklyn Grimes; his great grandchildren, Michael and Aleigha Grimes; and his pet Sadie.
