He was predeceased by: his spouse Judite DaSilva (Oliveira); his parents, Antonio DaSilva and Maria DaSilva (Coutinho); and his siblings, Antonio DaSilva, Lourdes Silva, Alice Pereira and Guiomar Nunes.

He is survived by: his daughter Ana Maria Alves (Sergio) of Cumberland; and his siblings, Manuel DaSilva of Portugal, Armando "Messias" DaSilva of Portugal and Beatriz Marques of Pawtucket. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
