It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mildred I. Smales of Cumberland, Rhode Island, who passed away on January 18, 2022, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband George H. Smales, Jr.; her parents, Dale Grindle and Mary Grindle (Goodman); and her brother Gerald Grindle. She is survived by: her children, Jayna M. White (Vernon) of Cumberland and Jeffrey H. Smales of Cumberland; and her grandchildren, Alexandra and Nicholas White. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
