He is survived by: his wife Verlyn Lapsley (Browne); his children, Avan Lapsley (Nevis) of St. Kitts, Vernon Lapsley-Taylor, Valyncia Lapsley of Cumberland and Zardi Lapsley of Cumberland; and his siblings, Clement Matthews of Providence, Clyde "Collie" Lapsley of Providence, Stedmon Lapsley of Providence, Oscar Lapsley of Atlanta, GA, Sylvene "Sylla" Davoren, Victorene Thompson of Cranston, Carol Holloway of Atlanta, GA, Venetta Simonds of Toronto, Rensford, Carlo, Lorenzo, Beulah Lapsley, Vida and Bridgewater. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 3 Great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
