He is survived by: his wife Maria Adelia Almeida; his children, Grace Fonseca (Mario) of Cumberland, Augusta Fernandes (Anthony) of Attleboro and Fernando Almeida (Lisa) of Rehoboth; his brothers, Arture of Almeida and Lidio of Almeida; his grandchildren, Ricardo Fernandes, Stacey Picher, Nickolas Almeida and Zackary Almeida; his siblings, Antonio of Almeida, Maria Patrocino, Adelaide, Santos and Horacio of Almeida; and also Morgan Picher.
In lieu of flowers, the family request to have a mass arranged in Joao's memory.
