We bid farewell to Jillian E. Powers of Cumberland, Rhode Island, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on December 15, 2024 at the age of 38. Jillian touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her mother Lisa Mathieu; her stepfather Robert Mathieu; her father Charles Powers; her grandmother Judith Benevides; and her parents-in-law, Linda Guay and Marcel Proulx.
She is survived by: her husband Michael Proulx (Nelson); her son Nelson Proulx; her brothers, Jeremy Benevides and Joshua Powers; and her stepfather-in-law Michael Guay. She is also survived by several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the A. A. Mariani & Son Funeral Home (200 Hawkins St, Providence, RI 02904).
She was a passionate advocate for the Autism Foundation and played a key role in organizing the annual Autism Walk in honor of her son, working in partnership with Reade International.
