He was predeceased by: his wife Joan B. Hollis (LaRose); his parents, Walter R. Hollis and Dulcina Hollis Sr. (Russeau); and his siblings, Walter R. Hollis Jr., Norma Arundale and Marilyn Kryla.
He is survived by: his children, James F. Hollis Jr. (Janelle) of North Smithfield, Stephen M. Hollis (Sue) of Rehoboth, MA., Joanne Tranghese (Tom) of Cranston, Catherine Moran of Coventry and Carol Berthiaume (Robert) of Chepachet; his grandchildren, Meagan, Sarah, Andrew, Katie, Stephen, Tori, Alex, David, Cole and Kerrin; and his sister-in-law Cheryl Mefford.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 25th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home (757 Mendon Rd, Cumberland, RI 02864). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, October 25th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Aidan-St. Patrick Parish (1464 Diamond Hill Rd, Cumberland, RI 02864). A burial was held on Friday, October 25th 2024 at the Resurrection Cemetery (257 W Wrentham Rd, Cumberland, RI 02864).
