In loving memory of George M. Woods of Cumberland, Rhode Island, who departed this world on December 25, 2024 at the age of 84. George leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John B. Woods and F. Alice Woods (Meehan); his son James A. Woods; and his siblings, John B. Woods Jr., Gertrude A. Woods and Michael Woods.
He is survived by: his son William Woods of Seekonk; his stepsons, Uwe Sommer of Cumberland and Eric Torsten of Seekonk; his brother David Woods of Dighton; his grandchildren, Amanda Butler, Alex Woods and Amiah Sommer; and his great grandchildren, Kaylee, Liam Butler and Axel Woods.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 9:00 AM at the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home (757 Mendon Rd, Cumberland, RI 02864). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Historic St. Joseph Church (1303 Mendon Rd, Cumberland, RI 02864).
