He was predeceased by: his parents, George Lough, Sr. and Isabelle Lough (Thornton). He is survived by: his wife Eleanor (Fitzpatrick); his children, George J. Lough III (Michelle) and Mary-Elizabeth (David); and his grandchildren, Isabella Lough and Thornton Daglieri.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in George's memory to St. Joan of Arc Church, Cumberland, RI, 3357 Mendon Road, Cumberland, RI.
