He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Young and Evangeline Young (Flohr). He is survived by: his wife Susan Crossley; his daughter Jacquelyn (Evan Duarte); his sister Carol Young; his brother-in-law Wayne Coats; and his niece Katharine Coats. He is also survived by several other nieces, great nieces, nephews and great nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, February 27th 2025 at 9:00 AM. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Jude Church (301 Front St, Lincoln, RI 02865).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to support the National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, NY.
