He is survived by: his wife Irene Audette; his sons, Michael Sweeney (Pawtucket) and Ginny Sweeney (Mosher); and his grandchildren, Briana Sweeney (McNamee), Paige Sweeney (Donaldson), Emily and Brendan. He is also survived by Nieces.
