He was predeceased by: his parents, Jose V. Silva and Emelia Silva (Mello); his child Urania M. Pereira; and his sister Lidia Martin. He is survived by: his wife Bernadette Silva (Costa); his grandsons, Derek Pereira (Tara) of Coventry and Kevin Pereira (Stephanie Morico) of Lincoln; his great grandchildren, Camila and Kaia Pereira; his sisters, Trindade Lacerda of Tewksury, MA. and Mary E. Silva of Central Falls; and his son-in-law Manuel Pereira of Lincoln.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 3rd 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, December 4th 2024 at 9:00 AM at the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home (757 Mendon Rd, Cumberland, RI 02864). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, December 4th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Our Lady of Fatima Church (1 Fatima Dr, Cumberland, RI 02864). A burial was held on Wednesday, December 4th 2024 at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery (153 Curran Rd, Cumberland, RI 02864).
