Charles H. Sweetman Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles H. Sweetman of Cumberland, Rhode Island, who passed away on April 15, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Charles H. is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Charles H.'s spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was predeceased by: his wife Kathleen C. Sweetman (Roberts); his parents, Charles H. II and Irene Sweetman II (Benoit); and his brothers, Richard "Dicky" Sweetman and Paul Sweetman.
He is survived by: his children, Charles "Chicky" Sweetman IV of Cumberland and Amy Strenke of Cumberland; his grandsons, Jarrod and James Strenke of Cumberland; his brother Tom Sweetman of Melbourne, FL.; and his niece Krystal Larochelle. He is also survived by his two nieces and one nephew.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home (757 Mendon Rd, Cumberland, RI 02864). A prayer will be held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
