Antonio A. Laires Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Antonio A. Laires of Cumberland, Rhode Island, who passed away on October 28, 2024 at the age of 91. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Antonio A. Laires to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his wife Maria Irene Laires (Ferreira); his parents, Antonio Laires and Rosalia Laires (Almeida); and his siblings, Violeta Loureiro, Jose Pina Laires and Celio Laires.
He is survived by: his children, Rosalia F. Videira (Helder) of Cumberland and Jose P. Laires of Cumberland; his grandchildren, Jessica Johnson and Michael Videira; his great grandchildren, Midas, Melayna, Mateo, Moses, Addilyn, Sophia and Gavin; and his siblings, Alvira Almeida, Anselmo Laires and Noemia Correia. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home (757 Mendon Rd, Cumberland, RI 02864). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 at 9:00 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Our Lady of Fatima Church (1 Fatima Dr, Cumberland, RI 02864).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society or Hope Hospice.
