She was predeceased by: her brothers, Isac Leal of Brazil and Domingos Leal of France. She is survived by: her son Eliseu "Eli" Afonso (Ilda); her siblings, Joaquim Afonso (Ilda) of Cumberland, Antonio Leal (Herminia) of Cumberland, Maria Pires (Joao) of Portugal and Joao Leal (Ana) of France; and her grandchildren, Christopher, Alexander and Victoria.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Our Lady of Fatima Church in Cumberland.
