He was predeceased by: his parents, Antonio Richards and Concetta "Mary" Richards (D'Amore); his former wife Nancy Richards (Previte); and his brothers, Americo Richards (Mildred) and Lewis Richards (Molly).
He is survived by: his wife Carol Russo Richards (Iacono); his children, Anthony Richards (Janice), Vincent Richards, Jr., Nancy McGetrick (Mark), James A. Russo, Sr., Gina M. Russo (Steven) and Stephanie L. Reinsant (Matthew); his daughter-in-law Margaret Richards; his siblings, Mary Bator (Stanley) and Josphine Miale (late Richard); and his sisters-in-law, Antonetta Condon, Elaine Gates (John), Diana DiMente, Barbara Pollock (Michael) and Rose Previte. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
