He was predeceased by: his parent John J. McGowan. He is survived by: his spouse Charlene McGowan (Michaud); his parent Angelina B. McGowan (Colando); his son Matthew R. McGowan (Heather) of Warwick; his granddaughter Anneliese McGowan; and his brothers, William J. McGowan (Donna) of East Greenwich and Stephen R. McGowan (Pam) of Corinth. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
