He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Upton and Thelma Upton (McKenney); his child Dawne Marie Upton; and his grandchild Justyna Ray. He is survived by: his daughter Kimberly Upton-Smith (Daniel Smith, Sr.) of Cranston; his siblings, Robert Upton of Rowley, Massachusetts and Patti Zarksi of Cranston; and his grandchildren, Jennifer Fisher, Michael Smith and Daniel Smith. He is also survived by four great grandchildren.
