It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leonard Shappy Jr. of Cranston, Rhode Island, who passed away on January 23, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Leonard is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Leonard's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was predeceased by: his wife Cynthia Shappy (Sandbergen); his parents, Leonard Shappy and Dorothy Shappy (Ashworth); and his sibling Lee Shappy. He is survived by: his children, Shearon Sevigny (Thomas), Susan Shappy, Carolyn Shappy and Christine Cowen.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Jones-Walton-Sheridan Funeral Home (1895 Broad St, Cranston, RI 02905).
