With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of John M. Worthington of Cranston, Rhode Island, born in Providence, Rhode Island, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 15, 2024 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, John is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that John's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman T. Worthington and Louise Worthington (Marchant); his wife Marjorie H. Worthington (Allen); and his close friend Norman T. Worthington, Jr.. He is survived by: his children, James M. Worthington (Robyn) of Westport, MA, Ann L. Worthington of Chippewa Lake, OH, Peter L. Worthington (Sara) of Charlestown, RI, Thomas A. Worthington (Kathleen) of Cranston, RI and John T. Worthington (Kimberly) of Saunderstown, RI. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
