He was predeceased by: his wife Stella A. (Markarian); his parents, John K. Takian, and Geneve Takian, Sr. (Nigohosian); and his brother Charles "Chet" Takian. He is survived by: his daughter Debra Pjojian (Robert) of Cranston; and his grandsons, Jason Pjojian and Eric Pjojian.
