“To All cousins relatives near and distant Alice was the only cousin me and my sister Cornelia knew when my father a nationally acclaimed clarinetist moved to New Jersey. She was the only beside Aunt Helen who I could identify with in the way she looked, spoke and handled her private life. She believed In herself and her love of art and she carried out that love to the fullest meaning she carried no doubts as to whether or not she was good enough to compete because God bestowed it to her”
