It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruth Jarrell of Coventry, Rhode Island, born in East Greenwich, Rhode Island, who passed away on February 27, 2021, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Jesse L. Jarrell; her parents, George Johnson and Viola Rose Johnson; her daughter Cheryl Hayes (Rich) of Coventry; her sister Dottie Hendrickson; and her grandchild Shannon Pitts.
She is survived by: her children, Wayne Jarrell (Margaret) of Warwick, Donna Fenner (late Leon) of Warwick and Gail Pitts (Michael Mournighan) of Matunuck; her siblings, Wanda Arnold, Butch Johnson, Peter Johnson and Gail Johnson; her grandchildren, Colby Jarrell (Athena), Steven Fenner (Wendy), Leon Fenner (Bethany), Kimberly Cook (Thomas), Jesse Michael, David and Tyler Hayes; and her great grandchildren, Monica and Meadow Fenner.
Due to pandemic restrictions, Ruth's funeral service will be private. Burial at the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter, will be private.
