We are sad to announce that on February 25, 2023 we had to say goodbye to Robert C. Sawyer of Coventry, Rhode Island, born in Woonsocket, Rhode Island. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Denise G. Sawyer (Cournoyer); his parents, Jeremiah Sawyer and Sylvia Sawyer (Carpentier); his son Robert "Robbie" Sawyer; and his siblings, Richard, Sylvia Sawyer and Nancy Gonsalves.

He is survived by: his close friend Jean Ascoli; his daughter Melissa Martin (Michael); his grandsons, Matthew and Michael of Christiana, TN; his siblings, Roger, Russell Sawyer, Janet Brunelle, Jo-Ann Bouffard, Carol Desrosiers and Cynthia Arnold; and also, Richard Ascoli (Charlene), Robert Ascoli (Rebecca) of Tampa, FL, Susan Mattie (Jay) of Cape Cod, MA and Patricia Bennett (Glen). He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Dana Farber Cancer Institute, PO Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284-9168.
