It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Richard Elliott Jr. of Coventry, Rhode Island, born in Providence, Rhode Island, who passed away on December 2, 2021, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard D. Elliott and Dorothy M. Elliott (Barrett); his brother Donald W. Elliott; and his grandson Abraham Elliott. He is survived by: his wife Judith A. Elliott (Anderson); his children, Kim E. Peterson (Mark) of East Greenwich, Richard D. Elliott, III (Patricia) of North Reading, MA and Peter L. Elliott of Warwick; his grandsons, Benjamin Peterson (Emma) and Gabriel Elliott; his great grandchild Kit Ellen Peterson; his brothers, Kenneth F. Elliott (Molly) of Wakefield and Steven F. Elliott (Mary) of North Kingstown; his sister-in-law Anita J. Elliott of West Warwick; and his granddaughter Eve Elliott. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Due to COVID-19 concerns, it is requested that attendees please wear appropriate face coverings inside the church.

In lieu of flowers, contributions to Interfaith Food Pantry, c/o 99 Peirce St., East Greenwich, RI 02818 in his memory would be appreciated.

“I was fortunate enough to spend my first day in the elevator industry working for Dick. He was very smart, clever, patient, with a great sense of humor.. Dick was always willing to share his considerable knowlege with those who he felt had a true desire to learn. Dick loved to make things in his shop. One day he presented me a special tool chest he had made for me. I took that tool chest to every country in country in North America A sad time for Judy and his children Dave OBrien”
