He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Richard J. Dowling II and Florence M. Dowling (O'Hare); and his sister Ann Wynne. He is survived by: his wife Adrienne R. Dowling (Conley); his son Richard J. Dowling IV (Katherine A. Dowling) of Coventry; his grandchildren, Owen R. Dowling, Ryan J. Dowling and Caitlin M. Dowling; his nephew Steven Wynne; and his niece Deb Wynne.
