He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Dion and Ethel Dion (Nelson); his son Joseph A. Dion; his sibling Carmel Miller; and also Dorothy V. (Fields).
He is survived by: his children, Susanne J. Tomasso (John) of West Warwick, Paul L. Dion, Jr. of West Warwick, Michael E. Dion (Maryann) of Coventry and John J. Dion (Deborah) of Warwick; and his siblings, Emile Dion of West Greenwich, Marcel Dion of Warwick, Donald Dion of Exeter, Nola Greco, Albert, Adrien, Justin, Jules, Anatole, Louie and Charlotte Dion. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Due to current COVID-19 restrictions, his funeral service and interment with military honors in Notre Dame Cemetery, West Warwick will be private.
