He was predeceased by: his parents, Salvatore DeSpirito and Nellie DeSpirito (Pontarelli); his son Joseph DeSpirito, Jr.; and his brother Anthony. He is survived by: his children, Dianne M. Broxson (Chris) of Cranston, Lynn M. MacRae (Frank) of Connecticut and John DeSpirito; and his siblings, Alfred DeSpirito, Ida, Julio, Salvatore DeSpirito and Anna Acciardo. He is also survived by grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
