He was predeceased by: his spouse Beatrice Hood (Linke); his parent James Hood; and his sibling William W.. He is survived by: his parent Mary Ann Hood (Willocks); his siblings, Marion J., James G. Hood and Marjorie Bennett; his children, Keith Hood of North Carolina, Glenn Hood (Nancy) of Rhode Island and Betsy Hood-Harrington (Richard) of Florida; his grandsons, Travis Hood (Amanda) of Redding, CT and Tyler Hood of North Carolina; and his great grandchild Henry John Hood.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in John and Beatrice's names to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation.
