He was predeceased by: his wife Angelina "Angie" Kiley (Petreccia); his parents, Thomas W. Kiley and Ledora Kiley of Somerset, MA.; and his sibling Peg Clifton. He is survived by: his sons, James J. Kiley Jr. (Theresa) of West Warwick and Michael G. Kiley (Diane) of Hope Valley; his granddaughters, Megan Pimental (Helder) of Cranston, Jillian Reynolds (Kevin) of Hope Valley and Michaela Kiley of Providence; his great grandchildren, Rex and Chloe; and his siblings, Thomas, Chris, Bob Kiley, Kay Holland, Pat Smith and Mae McClimans.

He is a member and Past President of the Bishop McVinney Foundation a Diocesan of Providence Lay Committee who manages a trust fund to support the needs of seminarians studying for the Priesthood.
