With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of George L. Guptill of Coventry, Rhode Island, born in Lynn, Massachusetts, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 21, 2024. In the vast expanse of eternity, George shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid George farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Guptill and Vivian Guptill; and his siblings, Shirley Burns, Walter, William and Stephen Guptill.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Verrier of Coventry; his children, Lynn Sookikian of Littleton, MA, Shirley LePore of Warren, RI, Kathleen Ladeau of Athol, MA and George L. Guptill Jr.; and his sister Ellen Brazell of Maine. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
