She was predeceased by: her husband Thomas H. "Muzzy" Aversa; her parents, Manuel DeCosta and Maria DeCosta (Fernandes); her brother Manuel DeCosta; and her grandson Jacob Aversa.
She is survived by: her children, Thomas P. Aversa (Melanie) of Cranston, Karen Marie Aversa of Cranston and Kimberly Anne Aversa (Robert Perry) of Coventry; her sister Rosemary Jones of Delaware; and her grandchildren, Skyla Aversa, Matthew Aversa, Tyler Perry, Taylor Perry and Thomas Perry.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 3rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Iannotti Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Saints John & Paul Church (341 S Main St, Coventry, RI 02816).
