He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Valerie A. Evans (Ferrara); his parents, Frederick Evans and Evelyn Evans (Bishop); his daughter Denise M. Coletta (Paul); his grandchildren, Kristina, Nicholas, Brianna, Jae, Karissa and Jenna; his great grandchild Kameron; his child Eric P. Evans; and his siblings, Robert Evans, William Evans and Evelyn Murphy. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews and great nieces.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hope Hospice & Palliative Care, American Heart or American Lung Association.
