She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Hitte and Julia Hitte (Russell); and her brother Arthur Hitte. She is survived by: her husband Robert Gering; her children, Darlene Chatell, David Gering and Douglas Gering; her grandchildren, Matthew Chatell, Catherine Gering, Alyssa Gering, Daniel Chatell, Kayla, Julia and David Gering; and her siblings, Dorothy Brown, Lucille Morton, Thomas, Robert and Russell Hitte.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Florence's honor to St. Jude Children's Hospital (stjude.org), would be appreciated.
