He was predeceased by: his spouse Claire L. Girard (Lavoie); his parents, Alphonse Girard and Blanche Girard (Cotnoir); his son David Girard; and his siblings, Alphonse Girard, Roland Girard and Lillian Phillips.
He is survived by: his children, Donald Girard, Sandra Balcom, Terry Femling, Christine Bliss and Dennis Girard; his grandchildren, Ronda Balcom, Gary Femling, Robert Femling, Claire Diaz, Renee Stockton, Amber Bliss, Troy Bliss and Madison Girard; and his great grandchildren, Amelia, Everly, Braylee, Zaden, Gabriel and Logan.
