He was predeceased by: his parents, William Battey and Agnes Battey (Grinnell); his siblings, William D. Battey, Walter Battey and Lillian Cuomo; and his brother-in-law Frank Cuomo.
He is survived by: his brother Edward Leon Battey (Ruth) of Sterling; his niece Dawn Renaud; and his cousin David Griffiths. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Chepachet Union Church (1138 Putnam Pike, Chepachet, RI 02814). A burial was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the South Killingly Cemetery.
